Electrician – Property Maintenance

About the Role:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our in-house property maintenance team. You’ll be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, testing, repairs, and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties. This is a mobile role ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, works independently, and understands the importance of safety and compliance in a live tenant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical repairs, upgrades, and maintenance in residential and/or commercial properties
• Complete EICRs, PAT testing, and fault-finding
• Respond to reactive call-outs and emergency repairs
• Conduct minor installations (lighting, sockets, consumer units, etc.)
• Ensure all works comply with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regs) and health & safety standards
• Maintain clear job records and report follow-up requirements
• Liaise with property managers and tenants in a professional manner

What You’ll Need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing) – desirable
• Valid ECS card
• Experience in domestic and/or commercial property maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence (essential for mobile roles)
• Own tools (preferred) – company van and equipment provided
